Complimentary Speech and Language Consultation

A free consultation consists of a 15 minute phone call where you can talk with Jessica about your concerns without committing to a full evaluation. Jessica can help answer questions about your child’s development, address any concerns you may have, and provide recommendations for your child.

Therapy

Frequency and duration of therapy programming is based on the results of your child’s formal evaluation as well as your family’s goals and values.  Each session combines evidence-based therapy approaches with engaging and interactive activities.  We believe strongly in empowering families with tools and strategies to support ongoing practice at home and dedicate time during the session for parent education and home practice tips.

Evaluation

Our child-centered and individualized services begin with a comprehensive evaluation.  This allows us to develop a picture of your child’s abilities, preferences and challenges.  Sprouting Speech Lake Country uses a variety of formal and informal tests and measurements in order to better understand your child’s speech and language abilities.  Standardized tests, play-based assessments, speech/language samples, oral-motor assessment, stimulability testing as well as parent input are all considered when evaluating your child and developing a speech and language therapy plan.  After your child has been evaluated, an in-depth written report will be provided to you detailing the results of the evaluation and a 10 minute parent conference will be provided to outline results, answer questions and give recommendations.

Summer Speech Therapy Services

Let us continue your child’s speech and language progress during the summer months, improving areas of difficulty and catching up on those speech and language skills that are still needing some work.  We will work with your school-based speech and language pathologist, ensuring the appropriate goals and objectives are targeted during the summer months and continued progress is made.
