How long is a session?

Therapy sessions are individually tailored to your child’s needs.  Your child’s speech therapy programming will be recommended based on evaluation results and therapy objectives.

Where can therapy occur?

Sprouting Speech Lake Country strongly believes that therapy should occur in your child’s natural environment.  Therapy conducted in a natural environment promotes carryover of skills learned in therapy into their daily lives.  A natural environment could be in your home, community location, daycare / preschool or online via Teletherapy.

When are services provided?

Sprouting Speech Lake Country will provide therapy services Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm September through May.  June through August, services will be provided from 7:30am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday.

When is an evaluation necessary?

If your child has never had their speech and language evaluated, this is a necessity prior to receiving speech therapy services.  If your child has had a formal speech and language evaluation completed within the last 6 months, and you are able to provide a report of the evaluation, additional testing may not be necessary.

What is the cost of an individual speech and language evaluation?

60 minute speech and language evaluation by Sprouting Speech is $250.00.  This cost includes formal evaluation of your child, scoring, interpretation of test scores and a formal report outlining results and recommendations. Also included in the cost is a 10 minute parent conference to discuss evaluation results and recommendations. 

What is the cost of a therapy session?

30 minute therapy session = $60.00 

(25 minutes of direct therapy with your child and 5-10 minutes of home program, parent communication for carryover and session documentation)

45 minute therapy session = $75.00 

(40 minutes of direct therapy with your child and 5 minutes of home program, parent communication for carryover and session documentation)

Do you accept insurance?

We currently do not accept insurance. As an out-of-network provider, we are able to provide billing statements for you to submit to your insurance. Additionally, you may be eligible to use funds from a healthcare flexible spending account or health savings account. We highly recommend checking with your health plan administrator to determine whether or not your child’s speech-language therapy services qualify. 

How can we make payment?

Electronic invoices are sent via email. Invoices can be paid online with most major credit cards. We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover.

Can a Good Faith Estimate be provided?

Yes.  Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers are required to provide a good faith estimate of expected charges for items and services.  Please request this estimate when you are scheduling your services with Sprouting Speech Lake Country.
